In Game Chat
There will be no flaming/trash talking during any part of the race session. If an admin deems your comments are malicious in any manner you will receive a drive through penalty. If you continue to show malice towards any other drivers/admins you will then receive another drive through. If your vehicle has been damaged and you aren’t able to return to the race you will serve your drive through at the start of the next race. If you have multiple flaming infractions while your car is destroyed, you will receive a drive through penalty for every comment to be served in the following races. These rules apply in game chat/private messages. In game chat is to be used for RACE CHAT ONLY.
If you have a connection problem (Car Blinking) you will be given an EOL penalty. If it’s so bad that the car is disappearing, you may be asked to park it. If you Alt F-4 out of the race or manually disconnect you will not be allowed to rejoin and get back on the track. We will allow you to rejoin and spectate.
Starts and Restarts
Restarts will be double file lapped to the back. The race will start on green. Then on restarts the leader chooses when to go. The leader is to maintain pace speed at all times. If the leader fails to maintain pace speed they will be given a black flag. The leader cannot slow down then take off to try to get a jump if this happens you will be given a black flag. We don’t want to see huge gaps between the cars, so keep within 1 car length of the car in front of you. If an admin feels you are trying to lay back or aren’t close enough you will receive a drive through penalty.
iRacing caution rules apply. When the caution is waved and the leaders are catching the pace car let’s try to let the others drivers know where the pace car is located and when you are starting to check up so we can try to avoid from having a pile up under caution. The leader needs to stay behind the pace car at all times. We will not manually throw any cautions at any time during the race. If iRacing doesn’t throw one, then so be it.
The lucky dog will be given when the pits open for the lead lap cars. We DO NOT give the lucky dog manually. Since the race admins are focused on racing, they cannot monitor everything on the track. If you get an incident for driving through the grass to avoid the wreck, or get any other incident for wreck avoidance. You will not be given the lucky dog.
We will clear some black flags depending on how you received it. This is completely up to the admins.
Entering and Exiting the Track
We allow you to enter where you want as long as it is clear. You MUST yield to the cars that are already on track. If you merge in front of a car that is already on track and cause an incident you will be dealt with after the race.
Drivers will only have one drop for the regular season (11 Races) If you miss three races in the regular season, you will not be chase eligible.
You should treat practice as if you were in an actual race. There will be no horseplay or intentional wrecking in practice. If an admin sees you violate the practice rules you will be black flagged at the start of the race. You will be given a black flag NOT AN EOL! NO EXCEPTIONS!
Anytime you are on pit road you must stay in the right lane. Anytime you exit your stall you must get into the right lane as soon as possible. You are allowed to go through 5 pit stalls when entering and exiting your pit stall. No more. If there are cars to your outside, do what you have to do to only go through 5 stalls.
All Sim Racing Authority league races will have a 15 incident limit. If you receive 15 incidents in the race you will be automatically removed from the track.
If the admin feel that you are driving too aggressive during the race, you will be given a warning, if you continue to race aggressively you will be given a black flag drive through penalty to be served under the green flag.
If the iRacing server ever crashes during a league race and more than half the drivers fall out, we will restart the race. If only half or less fall out of the server then the race will continue to its completion.
If you intentionally wreck somebody for any reason the race admins will determine your punishment. Horse play during the race, which includes drifting, spinning on purpose, trying to bring out the caution, etc. will result in punishment from the admins.
Our Admin Council will hand out penalties if need be. There are different penalties handed out, including but not limited to: DQs, suspension, black flags, point deductions, and lap penalties. If you would like to appeal your punishment, you get to make one appeal to Bobby Cheney (Ohiostate_02@yahoo.com). Send him an e-mail or get with him in some other way.
If a driver is suspended for the race, they are not allowed to join the race server and practice. You may join as spectator if you would like. If you join as a spectator and talk on the drivers channel in game, you may be subject to more penalties.
Calling out drivers during the race will not be tolerated. This includes: iRacing voice and Text chat and TeamSpeak and Text chat. This action is subject to a penalty at the admin discretion.
Negativity will not be tolerated in TeamSpeak, iRacing communication channels, Official races, Practice sessions and Social Media. This action is subject to penalty at the Admin's discretion.
During the course of a racing event, Admins are responsible for keeping everything in check. You are required to respect all calls made regardless of being right or wrong at the time. Disrespect towards any admin will be dealt with according to the severity of the incident in question
You must be in TeamSpeak to race in any Sim Racing Authority league race. You are required to be in the specified section of TeamSpeak BEFORE GRIDDING STARTS. If you are not in the section of TeamSpeak that correlates with the series being run, you will receive a black flag drive through penalty. We also want you to use your full name in TeamSpeak during league races. A black flag drive through penalty will given to drivers who do not set their name as we ask.
The Council Members are Justin Gable, Delonta' Ballard and Randy Roberts
The council members will handle all penalties (Suspensions, Black Flags and etc.) If you have an issue with somebody in a league race, you must cut the replay of the incident and send it to one of the council members. You can also send it to league owners Bobby Cheney/Austen Roberts and they will make sure it is brought forth to the council. Matt Simpson is the Highest Council.
Stage Racing Rules
In order to receive stage points, you will need to finish tenth or better once the stage caution is thrown. Pit road will close with two laps to go in the stage. The stage caution will be thrown once the tenth place car crosses the start finish line. If the stage comes to an end while we are under caution, meaning if we can’t go back green to finish the stage, then the top ten at that point will receive the stage points. If we can go back green to complete the finish of the stage, then the stage points will be determined like they should. If it’s going to be a one lap shootout, then we are racing the one lap.
